Shwmae! We have had a fabulous day celebrating Shwmae Day in Mayals.  Pupils wore red, green & white, we created posters about what being Welsh means to us, listened to Welsh music and watched Welsh programmes too! We also held our first Caffi Mayals, promoting the use of Welsh language and we had lots of visitors.  We raised £175 to put towards our Welsh games on the yard and Welsh resources in school - something Dreigiau would like to work towards this year. Da dawn Dreigiau and diolch yn fawr to all our supporters.

We had our first meeting with our new pupil voice representatives.  We have decided to change our name to Dreigiau Mayals as we are fierce and want to make learning Welsh fun!

We voted for our chair and vice chair - Emma & Teagan.

We also recorded our first patrwm yr wythnos video - go check it out on our Patrwm page.

Mrs Alexander also gave us posters to put up in each of our classrooms to share the patrwm yr wythnos with the rest of our class.

Mrs Alexander met with Mrs Griffiths to discuss holding elections for our new Criw.  Elections will take place on Tuesday 20th September in class.

They also talked about our targets for Welsh this year, ready for the new Criw Cymraeg to get to work on.  This year we are really going for our Bronze Award - we just need an amazing, enthusiastic Criw to help get us all there!
