Our Topic this term is....
Habitats and Animal survival.
What does a habitat provide for the plants and animals that live there? Did you know that habitats contain both living and non-living things? In this topic we will identify living things and sort the non-living things into those that have lived and those that have never lived. We will identify plants and animals from different habitats by carefully observing their physical characteristics. Growth in animals and exploring life cycles will be an important part of our learning. We will identify the basic needs of animals for survival, including food, water, air and shelter. The children will be playing a huge part in our topic planning, I will be taking my lead from them!

Read daily, little and often is the key! Try not to make it too much of a chore, sharing books together can and should be an enjoyable experience. Your child’s reading book will be changed weekly and sent home on a Friday. Please return both the book and folder by WEDNESDAY each week. | Times Tables – Practise counting in steps of 2, 5, and 10. Moving on to steps of 3 and 4. You can begin learning the multiplication facts for these times tables by rote. J2Blast on Hwb is a great resource for rapid recall of number facts.
